Fries & Bridges “Pipe Cleaner” EP out now! With 5 Magazine Chicago Review!

Fries & Bridges received the 10/10 review of “Pipe Cleaner” by 5 Magazine Chicago

I don’t know if you heard… but she’s a pipe cleaner.  Did Fries and Bridges just pull a hip hop move and straight up create some new slang?  I hesitate to say that definitively, but if so they deserve quadruple props for this record!  If nothing else they did a fantastic job teasing it because I was getting restless waiting for the drop.  Oh and for the record my favorite video was not the hilarious “making of” (Phil you’re a nut)!
I liked this one of Hector lipsyncing the track much better…

After causing a stir on YouTube – both through the studio-filmed ‘making of’ video and several clips of DJ Sneak, Hector Moralez and Phil Weeks playing the track in clubs – Fries & Bridges’ eagerly anticipated ‘Pipe Cleaner’ finally hits the shelves in May.

Featuring the vocals of Hector Moralez and the magic production touch of classic Fries & Bridges , ‘Pipe Cleaner’ is another no-holds-barred funky, jacking workout that we’ve come to expect and love from the duo, and is already reaching anthemic sing-a-long status in underground circles. As for what the lyrics are about – we’ll leave that for you to interpret!

Fries & Bridges is the long-standing collaboration between Robsoul boss Phil Weeks and The Factory/Minority Music boss Hector Moralez. The name originates from their original French (Fries) and San Francisco (Bridges) bases, although Hector’s recent European move means they are both now based in Paris. Alongside their own labels Fries & Bridges have graced Vista, Nightshift, Music For Freaks and The W Label amongst others.
